Associação Brasileira de Estatística (ABE; English: Brazilian Statistical Society), is a non-profit organization with the purpose of promoting the development and application of statistical science, and sometimes acts as a debate place for any professional body that has interest in statistics.
ABE is responsible for organizing the Simpósio Nacional de Probabilidade e Estatística (SINAPE), a symposium where statisticians from all over the country can debate the last advances of probability theory and statistics. Despite its local ambitions, SINAPE regularly receives international attention.
ABE publishes bimonthly the Brazilian Journal of Probability and Statistics.
